WHO:
Contact people most likely to share your concerns or who know others who do. For example: school counselors, parents of your children’s friends, relatives, etc.
WHAT:
Plan an orientation night ( or weekend ) for one or more of our directors to speak. We do not charge any speaker’s fee, however, transportation and room and board ( if outside the Los Angeles area ) must be provided. We recommend a weekend training session for all parents willing to make a commitment to the program.
In the event you do not have the financial resource to allow one of our directors to conduct an orientation, we feel our program manuals, if followed as outlined, will allow you to successfully start and operate a " BILY " affiliate group. Remember, if you have questions, we are as near as your phone.
WHERE:
Contact schools, community centers, and temples / churches to see if they would be willing to donate a year-round meeting location for your group.
To draw attention and attendance to your orientation, enlist the aid of local newspapers, magazine, television and radio stations. Most will publicize the event free of charge as a public service, if notified far enough in advance. You can distribute flyers at schools and local business establishments.
HOW:
If you wish to start an affiliate group, upon receipt of your check in the amount of $ 150.00 { U.S. FUNDS ONLY}, we will start the processing of our formal agreement and starter packet. The starter packet contains the following.

[2] One " BILY" Program Book
[3] One Coordinator Book
[4] One Orientation Book
[5] One Small Group Leader Book
[6] One Orientation Packet
[7] Six Success Buttons
[8] Samples of forms used weekly and samples of local resources
You will need to compile your resources for your area, i.e. drug programs, runaway shelters, low cost or free counseling centers, etc.

If you are unable to start an affiliate group at this time but would like to receive one of our " BILY" program book (guide to parenting), English or Spanish Version $12.00 (U.S. Funds Only) , please send a check payable to " BILY " for each book. We will continue to welcome the transfer of existing support groups to a "Practicing Because I Love You" status. This affords you the opportunity to continue using your group name but allows you to add " Practicing the Because I Love You" philosophy.
